And the winners of the Estonian video competition are...
Happiness At School Estonian Hackaton
Published on June 8, 2023

In Estonia, a video competition was organized by the Baltic Films Media and Arts School (Tallinn University) in collaboration with the production company OÜ Vesilind and ourselves, Happiness At School. Young students from Estonian schools participated in this competition : the theme was about happiness at school.

Students from several schools took up the challenge and put together their own video: each tells us what makes them happy at school. On June 8, the podium prizes are awarded. The winners were selected by an international jury, made up of French director Martin Meissonnier, Estonian animator Priit Tender, Estonian documentary filmmaker Kadriann Kibus and Baltic Film professor Alexandra Pärn.

The winners' prizes were awarded by Overall, Canon's representative in Estonia.

🏅 The special jury prize is awarded to the primary school in Lüllemäe.

🥉3rd place: Dominica Bobkova, from the Russian high school Õismäe

Jury's opinion : an original idea, one could even say psychedelic. Another work in the line of rebellious films without a cause. The skilful use of metaphors and the author's personal charm delighted the jury. The project also won a prize from the French Institute.
